Technical Review
A formal, process we use to evaluate Trail Centres and Hubs, looking in and around the trail corridors for technical accuracy, quality, and compliance with standards. The main objectives are to give independent audits and advice, depending on your project we can:
Identify discrepancies, errors, and problems early in the lifecycle, which helps reduce future costs.
Ensure the trails are suitable for intended use and complies with specifications, standards, or contractual agreements.
Provide visibility into project progress and risks to support management decision.
Give an annual overview of checks and balances and that process are being carried out.

Trail Storm Damage Management and Recovery
Unfortunately with climate change, we're seeing more and more storms and water damage to Trails. Get us in to plan, manage, inspect and assist with your initial incident management and then the planning and delivery of your recovery operations and trails.
Trail Inspections
Trail inspection where we examine your trails to ensure they are safe, well-maintained, and properly signed for its intended users. This involves a detailed survey to identify any needed repairs, assess trail tread and corridor, check structures, boardwalk, bridges, handrails etc, and verify the condition of signage and waymarking as well as the general forest environments. The information gathered from our inspections can then be used to schedule maintenance, manage liability, and inform the public about trail conditions.
Training, Assessments Qualifications
At Trail Logic, we provide Training, Assessments Qualifications for a wide range of Trail Management areas from Visitor Safety Groups (VSG) Public Assessments, Trail Inspections, Maintenance, Works Supervisor, Cycling at Work 189(a,b,c) and Accident Site Investigation. We train, assess, qualify and give Certificates of Competency and Qualifications. Our courses include practical on trail training and theory, and were required assessments giving participants demonstrable competence and CPD. As well as the skills to care for and improve Mountain Bike Trails responsibly.
Maintenance Contracting
Looking for a maintenance manger or need support to reinstate or just tidy up your trails, then get in touch, if we can't do it we'll point you to suitable contractors for the job.
VSG Public Safety in the Outdoors
Managing Visitor Safety, Site Mapping, Principles and Practice helping your site to balance risks and benefits. ITRS Certified Trail Rating
Being used widely in Europe the ITRS (International Trail Rating System) is an 'objective' way to confirm a trails 'grade' and to also assess trails and routes from a riders perspective. The ITRS system both objectively records and visually displays the Technical Difficulty, Endurance, Exposure and Wilderness properties of a trail/route and can be applied in various se forms. Ally is currently the only ITRS certified trail rater resident in the UK.
Courses, Training & Qualifications
Our trail maintenance and building work weaves in rewilding, looking after existing lines and planting native species to boost biodiversity. We design for long term sustainability and better water management, helping to reduce erosion and protect habitats. Wherever we can, we use natural materials such as dead hedging to guide riders, and plan trail corridors that work as both fire breaks and wildlife corridors.

A quick 20 year History, pictures from back at the start.
It all started when Coed Llandegla, (Wales first private trail centre) run by Oneplanet Adventure was getting built by our friends, we ended up going up and helping with a wide range of tasks from de-spragging and helping to clear the trail corridors to varnishing the building. Bob then worked for them as part of the managment team setting up their own coaching program and then the Atherton training days with Dan, Gee and Rachel. assisting with trail designing and maintenance work and the day to day running of Wales busiest trail center.
We were passionet about our skills coaching and our experience enabled us to develop a Skills Areas with easy accessible return tracks and progressive features designed to built confidence and skills.
Two names for the new company came up the one everyone knows us by "Campbell Coaching" and Trail Logic. We chose the former for the past 20 years. A job opportunity with the then Forestry Commission Wales as the MTB Ranger for South Wales cvering the 200+ Km of trails in the Afan and Cwm Carn trail centres and liaising with the then infant Bike Park Wales set up the move to South Wales and in to the Afan Forest Park where we still live. However with the Trail Management side or our work expanding rapidly over the past few years, we've finally pushed Trail Logic into existence in 2026!
